We want to help your dog achieve balance and fulfillment, and show you how to communicate with them clearly and effectively, so that you can create a relationship based on trust , respect and true connection.
Black Dog Safari’s owner Viola has been working professionally with dogs for twelve years. She founded Black Dog Safari in 2012 with the great help of the company’s co-founder, her loyal Giant Schnauzer, Toyo.
Prior to starting Black Dog Safari Viola was teaching English as a second language to immigrants arriving into the U.S. Currently, in her work with dogs, she applies many of the same principles she used as a teacher: clear communication, individualized attention, consistency, and calm confident leadership.
Viola leads dogs on nature pack walks and believes that dogs fulfill their needs best while walking together with other dogs in the same direction following the guidance of their human leader. The pack walk benefits dogs on so many different levels: insecure dogs become more confident, anxious or overexcited dogs become more relaxed and focused, and walking together helps all dogs be more social, feel good and make friends.
Viola not only teaches dogs proper leash manners on a pack walk, but also offers private training sessions to their human family. Viola developed her training style from a number of influences including mentorship and training with internationally renowned dog behaviorists like Cesar Millan and Lynn Boyke, as well as shadow programs with a number of other great trainers.
If you would like your pup to join our pack walks, or reserve private training sessions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
